Most dog boots are four separate socks, and most dogs remove at least one of them within a mile. This set solves that differently: the four leg covers are strapped to a body harness, so a kicked-off boot stays attached to the dog rather than sitting in a puddle behind you.

The outer is a waterproof coated fabric with a textured sole panel for grip. Each leg has its own adjustable strap, and the harness buckles across the chest and back.
  1. Lay the set out flat with the harness at the top and the four covers spread out.
  2. Stand your dog over it and bring the harness up over the back, buckling it at the chest.
  3. Slide each paw into its cover and tighten the leg strap so it is snug, with room to slide a finger under.
  4. Walk a few steps indoors first and adjust anything that twists.

Worth saying plainly: no boot is comfortable for a dog who has never worn one. Give it a few short indoor sessions before a wet walk, and let your dog decide how quickly that goes.

Roughly a minute once you have done it twice. Take them off indoors, not in the doorway, that is where the mud ends up otherwise.

Measure before you choose a size

Most boots that get returned were the wrong size, not the wrong product. Two numbers do most of the work: leg span (front paw to back paw with your dog standing) and back length (base of neck to base of tail). Measure both before ordering.

Between two sizes, size up, a cover slightly long still works, one that is short will not go on at all. Paw width is measured with your dog standing, since paws spread under weight.
